Jobs & Employment Promotion Officer - District based

AGRIJOBS Limited is a recruitment agency and jobs accelerator for the agri-food sector. We help companies, Agri-SMEs, cooperatives, commercial farmers and NGOs with agri-related initiatives to recruit talent for their work. We cover the whole spectrum of agriculture including but not limited to agribusiness and agricultural economics; aquaculture; horticulture; environment and natural resources; animal science; food science & technology; food & human nutrition; land administration; agronomy; project management, monitoring & evaluation, etc.

As a JOBS & EMPLOYMENT PROMOTION OFFICER under AGRIJOBS Limited, you will join a team of ambitious and relentless job creators and enablers. You will become part of a team of passionate change-makers with a solid strategy for fighting poverty, accelerating economic opportunities and creating better livelihoods for women, men and youth in both urban and rural areas.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Profiling potential employer clients
2. Profiling agri-professional job seekers in the district and leading them to the national AGRIJOBS database
3. Representing AGRIJOBS Limited at relevant district fora
4. Ensuring successful settlement of recruits allocated to the district by AGRIJOBS Ltd’s clients
5. Coordinating job creation activities promoted by AGRIJOBS in the district
6. Generating leads for potential clients (Employers) to be served by AGRIJOBS in the district
7. Assisting with facilitating relevant trainings
8. Working with both agri-professionals and rural youth to improve employment prospects

Requirements

1. Possess a degree in Agribusiness; Agricultural Enterprise Development; Agricultural Economics;
2. Preferably Be resident in the district where the post will hold
3. Passionate about jobs and job creation
4. Ability to generate sales
5. A good understanding of agriculture and rural development for the district of interest

Remuneration

The successful candidate will be put on commission-based remuneration based on leads generated in the district.
