Lecture/Senior Lecturer in Landscape Design and Architecture

The Department of horticulture invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in landscape design and architecture Qualifications and Attributes

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Master of Science in Horticulture , with a strong background in the core areas of Landscape design, landascape management, Landscape architecture and floriculture
• Team building and leadership skills Duties

Specific duties shall include, but will not be limited to:

• Teaching, setting and timely grading of examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in floriculture and landscape design
• Conducting research and managing projects in the area of specialisation.
• Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects within the department and the university
• Supervising and managing landscape works as assigned by the University
• Participating in all academic and professional activities of the department.
• Initiating research projects in horticulture specifically landscape design and floriculture
• Initiating and participating in resource mobilization activities.
• Carrying out other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
